feel the purge

Now that it's officially spring, I've got the urge to purge.
No room in the house will be spared, no drawer overlooked.
Clutter totally stresses me out. When things are super messy or unorganized which is all the time since having kids, I'm feeling like we need to get ruthless and let go of so many, too many things.

here are a few of my rules Get Real. Get Rid- if it takes you like 5 or 10 minutes to dream up a scenario of when you could wear it or use it, lose it. If you utter the words, "I forgot I had this" then clearly you have lived your life just fine without it. Move on. Get organized and find it a home- if you can't then chances are it needs to go. Lastly, instead of mindlessly donating it to the closet bin, choose an organization you feel would benefit the most from it.

So I'm committing the rest of April to shaping up and cleaning out our house- so far I've packed up and donated 2 car loads of clothes, toys, books etc. And I'm excited to hit up the remaining rooms... especially the kitchen and pantry. This is an excellent time to take stock, re-arrange and move older items to front to get used up!

New Shoes

I have been searching high and low for a pair of yellow shoes for Oliver.
One because they would look adorable on him and two more importantly because he would LOVE them and in turn want to wear them. Which would make my life a million times easier in the morning by not having to fight with him about shoes. So I didn't find yellow shoes but I found these and he loves because they have some yellow on them.

Fashion Friday

Here's a little peek at what I was wearing today
nothing fancy that's for sure but not jogging pants so a small victory......

Cardigan- Forever 21
Tunic- Suzy Shier
Leggings- Suzy Shier
Leg Warmers- Thrifted

This outfit was also a staple while I was pregnant. I was pretty lucky that I didn't have to buy many maternity clothes but now when I shop for clothes I am always looking for things that will work for when I am pregnant again (don't worry mom that won't be for a couple of years).
And it was pretty easy getting used to wearing elastic waist pants or using a belly band but now that I have to get "dressed"  to go to work I am feeling excited about clothes again
and I have just purged my closet
(to make room for some new threads!) so I can't wait to put together some new outfits.
Let the creative juices flow!
