i just busted a gut

this article slayed me, honestly its so hilarious(ly true!).

thankfully my kids are too young to jump on the bandwagon of exploited holidays but I feel it coming. 

Oliver is already commenting on this toy or that one, we don't have cable or satellite so he doesn't see commercials at our house but of course everyone else we know does... 

this article is a hysterical reminder to everyone to bring the holidays down a notch!

birth book

Finn's birth book ' on the night you were born' arrived today!

this photo book from artifact uprising is beautiful, I love the quality and feel of the pages. 

this is my second photo book project from them and I couldn't be happier 

(although the extra customs charges suck when the parcel arrives)

 it's still a small price to pay to create such a precious keepsake.

homemade valentines

last night I whipped up some homemade valentines for the kiddos party on Friday.
hot off the press (home photo printer).
Super cute, super easy (and very cheap) personalized valentines for their friends.

Recently I ask her for a custom listing of 2 large dolls and 4 smaller mini dolls. 

With some back and forth (her attention to detail is great!) she sent me these photos last night!

The cutest right? 

I can't wait to spread the joy this holiday with these adorable dollies.

artifact uprising

I love making photo books, it's a great gift idea and a perfect way to publish your precious moments. Oliver has really taken a liking to the ones I've made thus far, so if you have little ones I suggest making an extra book for them to look through without worrying about bent pages, rips or sticky fingers. It's a great tool for them to learn about familiar faces that maybe you don't get to see as often as you want to. 

You've probably heard about Shutterfly, Blurb or the host of other companies offering photo books

but if you haven't already check out artifact uprising

 

They offer both soft and hard cover books in several sizes, 

as well as instagram friendly books and other photo related products...

I've yet to make a book with them but they are certainly on my to do list!

DIY Bookshelf

Here's a little look-y-poo at the bookshelf Guy and I made for Oliver's playroom.

Guy made the frame and I whipped up the fabric sling.

This marks our first joint project and I must say it went pretty seamlessly ahaha!
